The Explorer

The Explorer…from your house to Town Hall and everywhere in-between!

The Explorer is the convenient way to get around the central business district of Christiansburg.  This route will operate on a 30 minute frequency, so every 30 minutes a bus will pass a stop near you.

Plan ahead and get a little extra! 
By planning your trip one to seven days in advance you can request that the bus leave the route to get a little closer to you!  For example, if the route isn’t within walking distance of your location, you can call a day before and request that the bus leave the route and come a little closer!

Requests for the bus to leave the route will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.  A limited number of requests will be allowed each hour so make sure you call early to schedule yours!

Example:
Q.  The pharmacy I use is on the route, but the closest stop (to the pharmacy) is at least three blocks away.
A.  Call BT at 540-443-7111 the day before and request that the bus travel closer to your destination.  (Note:  There are a limited number of requests available each hour).
